A patented upper pocket system takes literature up to A4 size while there is a patented lower bungee storage system in the lower half of the seatback. A built in tablet rest is available when the tray table is open, while there is sufficient space between the tray and the seatback pocket for a laptop to be fully open. In-seat power is an option.
For bulkhead and emergency exit row seats, there is a fold out tray in an extra slim arm rest that also provides 1in of extra hip space.
Aimed particularly at low cost carriers, where fast passenger loading and unloading and reduced turnaround times are a key element of the business, the seat width of 17.2in means the aisle in an Airbus A320 Family aircraft can be increased to 21.4in. Turnarounds are further helped by the seat back storage system. This allows the crew to make a rapid scan to ensure no passenger belongings have been left behind and that safety literature is in place, while there are no hidden hazards in the pockets for cleaning crews.
Complete with seat-belts, upper and lower literature pockets, life vest pouch and synthetic leather dress covers, a standard triple unit weighs just 29.4kg, or 9.8kg per passenger, reducing aircraft weight and fuel burn without compromising comfort.
The robust simple and robust aluminium construction reduces maintenance costs, while the efficient design means that any unserviceable parts can be quickly replaced.
The PF3000 comes with a range of options. Standard options include the colours of the dress cover and seat belts, but these can be augmented by a bespoke dress cover design, bungee cord colour and customer branding on the side of the seat and the tray latch. A coat hook can be attached to the side of every seat. A further option is a USB power point behind the tray table for inflight charging.
